when I used workbench of ANSYS,I cannot mesh the space of my stuff. it's like a hollow cylinder(image), after generate mesh, I wanna get the grid inside the cylinder, not only the surface. can anyone told me how to solve it ?

Can you explain more? Do you want to mesh all of the cylinder? The surfaces and inner empty part?

Yes, exactly. I can just mesh the surface but do not know how to mesh the inner cylinder. I wanna know the method to mesh inside of a hollow stuff.Thank you!

Do you fill the inner empty space with material? Is the outer space solid and inner space fluid? As appear in the picture, I think you have only the solid part!

Yes, I can ONLY mesh the solid part. I do not know how to mesh the empty space. Do I need to fill the empty space with material? Cuz it is an empty space. In other words, the material is air.

Anything has influence in your analys must be model
If you want to do a cfd simulation the air must exist and meshed
But if you want to do a static analys you don't need air!

old times, i used to have this problem long ago when i was new to cfd. any place you want to mesh must be filled. if you fill the inner space with material only then it would be meshed, (which makes sense as well) the wall will be the outside surface, any place which you dont want to mesh or you want it to act as a wall, take out the material from that space. hope i make sense.
