Hi everyone!
I have a weird problem that I can't seem to figure out.

Here's my problem;
I have a 3D geometry that I import to Modeler, then I make a 2D surface in the XY plane and use boolean; cut material, use the 3D model as tool and select preserve bodies to NO. I then end up with one surface with zero thickness. So far so good. I then make a sketch of an area where I want a higher density of cells, and imprint this sketch on the 2D surface.

The problem arises when I want to start meshing.
When I generate the mesh I end up with a mesh that has 1m thickness and one cell in z-direction. Has anyone experienced this before?

Does anyone have an idea on how to solve it?

Cheers
Kristian

Changed thickness to 0m in Ansys meshing - model - geometry - surface body - definition - thickness - 0m.
Seems to be working!

Hello herrolsen, is your analysis in 3d or 2D?
