The Engineer 2014 is on a distinguished road
Hello Everyone, I am new to the whole CFD realm and am having a very similar to the issue listed above. My desired 2D geometry continues to fail, so I constructed a simple 2D plane with a hole in the center, exactly like the traditional example. I create the 2D geometry, and then export it as an IGS 5.3 file, with the units set to millimeters. I also took the time to ensure the 2D object was in the XY plane, with all geometry flat on the plane (z = 0). In my simple CAD model (which is produced in alias automotive), the square does have a surface, with the hole in the center being vacant.

The error message I receive after I begin the specific 2D meshing process, is as follows, "Update failed for the mesh component in fluid flow (FLUENT). Error updating cell mesh in system fluid flow (FLUENT). View the messages in the meshing editor for more details."

The meshing editor states "Error in Assembly meshing. Aborting the meshing process."

If you guys and gals have any idea what is wrong, or if it is something stupid I am doing on my end, let me know. Thanks in advance for your help.
