Hi all,
As part of a project at uni I am investigating the effect of winglets on aircraft drag reduction. To do this I am modelling a wing, both with and without winglets, and simulating the flow in Fluent. I have imported a solid model of the wing in to Ansys Workbench and have the geometry laid out ready to be meshed. I have put a box enclosure around the wing and I was just wondering if anyone could give me any hints on how to increase the mesh density in regions close to the wing, particularly around the wing tips. The mesh density will ideally decrease in regions further away from the wing. I am new to Ansys and have ran a simulation in 2D but have never worked in 3D before. Many Thanks Alistair |
