Import coordinates in ASCII format

Dear All,
How can I import a blade coordinates into DesignModeler (ANSYS Workbench) using ASCII text file? It was possible to do this in Gambit. I wonder how to do this in Workbench. Best regards, sk |

I know it already.
Prepare text file in the following form: Group number, Point number, X, Y, Z eg 1 1 0.2 0.3 0.0 1 2 0.3 0.4 0.0 1 3 0.4 0.5 0.0 In Design Modeler select the proper plane (eg. xy-plane) and next select the Point option and input the generated text file under Coordinates File. |

i am asking about how to create input file and edit ASCII file mechanical apdl in ansys. i have complete editing in ASCII file but i have some problem. my job is a find out a Stress concentration automatically to put variable length, width and thickness file in Ansys to get directly result file of stress concentration.
i edit ASCII or log file like this way !*SET,sec_a=cs_h*t !*SET,max_stress=2512 !*SET,k_t=Max_stress/sec_a but i have a prob in max stress how to define it max stress in between every stress; plz help me if everyone know about this |
