Hi Everyone.
I really need some help with my final year dissertation project. You see, I have been given a geometry in 3D (solidworks model) which has a C-Grid and a 3 element airfoil in the centre (refer to pictures). I want to mesh this model however since it is 3D, ansys doesn't let me mesh it properly. It gives me an error that the geometry is not 2D. And I prefer a 2D model as I need to use inflation meshing to create a boundary later padding. I was wondering could anyone give me any guidance on how I can either: a) Convert the 3D solidworks model to a 2D model so that I can use it in ansys workbench for meshing and simulaton b) How to extract the coordinates of the 3-element airfoil accurately so that I can make my own 2D model in the workbench for meshing and then simulation. Really hope someone can help me as I have been stuck on this for weeks. |
