I'm using the "Smooth Hexa Mesh - Orthogonal" function in ICEMCFD 12.1.

Could anyone please briefly explain what the options in smooth type, orthogonal
and Laplace mean for either Faces and Volume?

And what about Freeze Options? If I freeze a surface, does that simply mean
that the mesh on that surface are not allowed to move?

And Define Edges on Part Border Options?

Any place I can find out all these definitions?

i once try that funtion. And i remember there are definitions in ANSYS help files, in detail. My friends told me Laplace orthogonal is more stable one. For freeze, we always freeze the first layer of boundary layer to ensure it is perpendicular to the surface.

Hope it will help u!
