Default what is free block type in icem cfd?

what is a free block type in icem cfd? converting a block to free block type do what? does it bring dormant blocks in to live one as well?

Hi

Free block is block on which any 2D surfaces are to be imprinted.

For example if you try to block any closed tank with an orifice present at the bottom. Such type of the block is called as free block.
