Hey,

I would like to split a rectangular surface body in 90x100 even elements.

Can someone give me advice how to do it?

Thanks!

Thanks for your respond!

If I understand you correctly this would split the geometry, but I dont want to change the geometry, just the mesh. I have a 400x12 mm rectangular surface and would like to create a mesh with 100x90 elements.

How can I do this in the meshing tool?

Thanks!

use the virtual toplology on the bodies with help of split faces or eges, you can split the surfaces and mesh but its bit time conjuming compare to design modeller is easy method

In the Ansys meshing tool, switch off the "advanced size functions", apply a "mapped face meshing" to the surface and apply the "sizing" option to the edges.
Set the behavior of the sizing to "hard" and use "number of divisions" as type. Now you can specify the number of elements on the edges.
