Hi, I have meshing problems using ic engine module of ansys. The automatic mesh creats some pyramidal cells close to valve seats. How could I resolve the problem? Have you ever had any problems with automatic mesh of ic engine?? The same thing happens if i try to mesh manually: pyramidal cell close to the valves. Note that the valve seats are sliced from geometry so they are different bodies from chamber or ports or piston. When i try to apply a general mesh, the valve seats are meshed through a sweep method automatically and their nodes don't overlap the others, belong to tethraedrical mesh!
Help me please, it is important |

Hi, I know your post is old, but you are the only one who went over the decomposition step! My geometry is wrong, but I don't know why! It says "Check the valve seat again", but I don't know what I have to change. Can you send me your geometry? The .SLDP file, not the .stp, so I can compare them. Thanks anyway.
