Hi!
I have been working on a model of a Vortex mixer for a while now. The cylindrical vessel looks really nice but i have trouble with the inlets. I tried to model the inlets with an unstructured mesh but since the edge asymptotically merges with the vessel it fails. I have to options as i see it. Either I can split my vessel in two and do the upper part unstructured and the lowered part structured. like this picture. My worries are that this mesh will yield problem in the interface and that i may have bad inflation in the unstructured part. I can also try to box the entire model like this picure I tried this and the mesh in the inlets became very poor and the mesh in the vessel a lot less uniform than when i only block the vessel. What option do you think is the best one? What would you, who most probably have more experience than me, have chosen? Thank you Rikard Last edited by RikardMNorén; September 27, 2013 at 06:07. Hi Rikard,
I think you must try to do a blocking of all geometry. I don´t know If you are watch the next video link but.. maybe It can be useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KabKFrJK3fM |

Thanks a lot man!
I'm in China and i also have a slow line so watching the video took me lite 2 hrs but it was all worth it. now the model is great. |
