Mixing faces that constitute a velocity inlet boundary condition

Dear Buddies
Hi I have divided a velocity inlet boundary condition to three faces. There is no problem with the grid. However for crowding out the grid, I want to do an operation like merging these faces so as to observing one circle instead of two half circles and a square in the middle. I had found a solution for this issue; However I have forgot it now. Any hint is appreciated. More information: It's a 3D grid and after creating the 2D surface grid;I swaped through an identified edge to create the 3D grid. Regards Bobi |

I don't understand your problem.
If you have 3 surfaces and they should set as velocity inlet, then you have 2 options: -all 3 surfaces as one BC --> you will see only one surface -each surface as one BC --> you will see 3 surfaces

Let me explain clearer: when we sweep our faces through a specified edge that has an identified mesh on it; we can create our 3 dimensional grid . After this step, we can see undue lines that sweeping has created in the interior region. My question: Is there any way to get rid of these lines In the interior region? From your response, I infer that after defining boundary conditions properly; these undue lines due to sweeping disappear automatically? Am I right buddy? Regards Bobi |

I have attached a picture. As it can be seen in the picture, After sweeping through the central edge (I have deleted this line); the vertices of the middle square create four lines. Is there any way to get rid of these interior lines. Although I Know that these interior lines does not disturb in defining boundary conditions. Regards Bobi |

if all your volumes are well connected, then the internal surfaces won't give you any problem, since Gambit will treat them as interior.
So connect Faces All
