Hello,
I have been having this issue for a while. I use XMing + Putty (for xwindows and ssh) on my Windows 7 machine to remotely access Gambit v 2.3.16 installed on a Linux cluster. While using face or volume mesh in Gambit, using GUI, the program crashes every time. I tried the process from a Linux machine and still the same result.

I changed my ssh program to MobaXterm (got the free version from the internet) and it solved my problem. Now I can use the face and volume mesh.

I would like to know what caused the mesh program to crash when using Putty. I think it is a problem related to memory allocation, which is taken care of in MobaXterm automatically.

I use "ssh -Y user@machine.com" to connect from Putty.
