dstrunner is on a distinguished road
I have been a long time user of Gambit and am now trying to jump into the new meshing module in Workbench 14. Is there a way to mesh edges and then have that edge mesh be incorporated into the overall mesh of a surface and/or volume? Likewise, is is possible to mesh a face and then extrude that mesh along a line in order to mesh the volume? I am having trouble with the automesh features and wanted to know if there is a way to exert more control over the mesh generation. Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

On top menu there are icons with which enables selection of edges and faces. Once you press one of the buttons you should be able to select edge or face. Then you right click and insert 'sizing'.

In addition there are option to get mapped mesh and other options to chose from Mesh Control->Method.
