Hello

Would somebody please help ? I truely appreciate your comments.

I need to generate an unstructure mesh for a porous media using Gambit mesh generator. All I have is the coordinates of the circular pores and their diameters. For my CFD project I have to produce a neutral grid file (*.neu file) using Gmabit mesh generator. Any comments on how to do this will be highly apprecited.

What do you mean with porous media?
In Gambit you can set a volume as porous media, but this is for later set up in Fluent.
On the other hand you could model and mesh your media, if it is not so complex.
Do you have a sketch on your geometry?

Thanks for the reply,

I have written my own fluid simulator, so I am not using Fluent. But I have to use Gambit to generate an unstructured mesh made of triangular elemets (in 2D space). My code then reads the *.neu file produced by Gambit and starts the simulation.

I do have the geometry which is defined by a data file that contains the coordinates of the circular pores and their radii. I am trying to find an easy way to have Gambit read the data file and to make it understant the geometry.

do you have a sketch of your model you want to built?
Else you can try using the import Vertex Data Files option
