I am working on optimization of blood flow. For this I had made several cases in workbench with work-flow like this:

DM > ICEM CFD > Fluent (4 cases this time in R14.5)

Case is 2d and is placed on X-Y plane with zero Z.

Case 1 : When I read it in Fluent through workbench, it gives me error that 2d mesh is read into 3d solver bla bla. . It is obvious as WB is opening 3d Fluent while the mesh is 2d in upstream cell. WB should understand it but for some reason it is not working in rhythm.

Case 2 : When I tried to read it manually through Fluent 2d it gives me error that 3d mesh is read into 2d solver

Sure. I am not doing the optimization study through optimiser. In fact it is through traditional method "trail and error". So we made various geometries and simulating same flow conditions in Fluent.

This work is sent to me by a professor in Saudi university for research purpose. Once his research is completed and published, after that I will send you files.
