Hi people,
I'm using ICEM CFD v14 and Ansys Workbench (Structural mechanics) v14. Please, I just wanna know how I export a mesh file to use in Ansys Workbench, structural mechanics. I want to perform a static structural analysis in human skull geometry. Using STL faceted as geometry is the better alternative as the reverse engineering is impossible to reproduce all anatomical characteristics. So, below are the steps that I have done: Import geometry = STL Meshing = volume mesh, tetrahedral mesh Smoothing Mesh quality evaluation Could I export this mesh to use in Ansys Structural mechanics? Every time I tried to export the file aways is ".uns" and geometry is ".tin". These file formats are not useful in Ansys workbench. Is possible to import STL geometry and export to Parasolid geometry in ICEM? Grateful for all Alexandre Last edited by alerfreire; March 26, 2013 at 16:21. |
