Dear frineds:
I genearte a simple lid driven mesh in icemcfd , and output it in fluent 6 format. In the icemcfd, i have named the fluid region as" body", but in fluent, it name is "int-down". Could you please tell me, why did it happened. thanks Regadrs |

Have you set the body boundary condition to fluid type?

I meant not just the name but the type of the zone. You can apply boundary conditions in ICEM, just go to the Output tab, and to the BC menu. Select the different zones and create a new boundary condition for each one. Try setting fluid type to your fluid region.

yes, i have seletect it fluid type as shown in attachment.
but new problem comes, in the family boundary condition set window, there is a "mixed /unkown", the generated mesh and the UP wall were combined together. I do not know what is the reason. Dear frineds, could you please help me to generate mesh for it. Regards |

Let's see. Be sure that every edge is in its appropiate part, you might have FLUID and UP in the same part.
Then you have to asign the BC type (as I see in your picture you haven't done that). See my attached picture, "tick" mark will appear near each BC type. About the mixed/unknown you shouldn't be worried as far as no edge is included in it. |
