hi
guys, I have made my centrifugal impeller model in solidworks ,but it is so hard to mesh it in ICEM CFD,so i choose to mesh it in turbogird,in order to export the impeller geometry to turgird, I use the bladEditor in ansys design modeler. first ,i have to use the flowPath feature to create(specify) the flow path, I'm sure about the inlet/outlet/hub/shroud contour, but how can I decide the layer contour ? for example, how many layers contours? the shape of the layer contour ?
thanks

it is not a tutorial in the help documents, and i have solve the problem ,just right click on the layer hub or shroud to choose add a lower(upper) layer, then the bladeditor will add layers automatically. thank for reply

Hi,

I'm trying to export a geometry file of a single radial blade passage (i have inlet, outlet, periodic, hub and shroud surfaces) to turbogrid. However I'm not able to specify the flow path. For instance I click on hub contour but there is no way that i can highlight the surface and select apply. What does hub contour stand for? surface or curve/line? Thanks in advance, sorry I'm new to ANSYS and I really need to generate the mesh with turobgrid rather than with ICEM..
