I realize this might be a simple question, but so far the "solutions" i've managed to track down on the net does not work. Granted I dont know if this is possible (though it would strike me as odd if this was the case).

After opening Ansys, select Preprocessor (Ansus 14 btw) -> Modeling -> Create -> Volumes -> Cylinder -> Solid Cylinder. Fill in WP X = 0, WP Y = 0, Radius 0.25, Depth = 2.
This creates a solid cylinder of the specified dimensions along the Z-axis. My question is: how do I rotate this cylinder 90 degrees around the positive y-axis only? As another example: Given this initial cylinderA , how do I create another cylinder B that is perpendicular to A? How do I rotate cylinders in Ansys?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply. I dont have that option in Ansys. It seems thats a command associated with the work bench? Is it only possible to carry out the rotation in Workbench as opposed to the Software Suite?

Ansys 14.0. I think the software suite that I accidentally referred to is the more commonly known Ansys Classic, where you get the legacy Ansys GUI with the work space taking up 60% of the screen and the Preferences, Preprocessor, Solution, General Postproc etc are located to the left. Please bare with me. I've only been at this for 7 hours.

However, if the solvers used by workbench and classic are the same, am I right in saying I could just as well use workbench where, according to you, the rotation will be possible?

Oh, the body operation is in the work bench. I would just like to know if the same rotation is available in classic.
