After the volume mesh is produced by ICEM CFD,there are many "added faces" produced by the code in "Mesh--Subsets".
how to deal with the "added faces" ?and are there any problems with these added faces in the CFX caculation?
Thanks for your answer!!

these really are not "added" faces but the subset acts as a container for the particular problem faces that were generated. These typically do highlight a problem with the mesh.

What is the reason for this problem? It comes from the mesh size setting or geometry?
After i do "Topology" for the geom, there is no error exited.

Hi rockzh,
I think it's not caused by geom, because geom has it's own subset. It's may caused by the local size you set to generate the volume mesh. I meet with the same problem, and want to figure out how these faces generated.

My geometry is very clean, hence I think that the problem lies in my unstructured mesh settings but I do not know what I can improve. If I scan the "ANSYS ICEM CFD HELP MANUAL" for "added faces" it does not find anything.
