Hey everyone,

I need some help in modelling a system, where water flows through a Cu-pipe and heat is transfered through the walls of the pipe into a surrounding material.

Which modell shall i take for this? Thermal-transient? And how can I make the geometry so that Ansys knows what's which material? Also, I dont know how to combine a mass flow (water) with the heat transfer.

Help much appreciated...

Greetings
Turtle

please adress you problem in the fluent section. when you have walls, you can set their thickness and their materials in ansys...

Dear Ali
I have a problem in gambit i define porous_jump, then in fluent it sent an error message:
Error: Cannot change po to porous-jump because
there is only one adjacent cell thread.

i have tried modify in gambit and its still futile.
can you please guide me?

Thanks
