Hi everyone

Could someone help me on this, i have my airfoil and 2 faces round it. The bigger one is the domain and the smaller one is to have better control over the meshing around the airfoil...the only problem im facing is how to use the boolean. I want the inner rectangle to be still connected to the outer one as one whole face while having the aifoil extracted from it....any suggestions??

thank you

Are you refering to this thread?

Let's say you have your big rectangle and your airfoil (already splitted >> hollow)
Then split the domain with the edges from small rectangle

HI Max

yea its from the thread before...so basically you are telling to first apply the boolean on the airfoil from the inner box then split the inner box from the outer domain...

thanks again

I adviced you to split your domain with an ellipse or a circle.
Your rectangle edges won't be at equi-distance from your airfoil.
