Hey,
I am desperate about importing a Nastran file into ICEM CFD. The Nastran file only has the volume elements (no surfaces and shell elements). There are a lot of mistakes: 1) The Mesh in the Nastran file has some parts with hexagonal elements and they aren`t allowed in FLUENT. When I change them into tetra elements (Edit Mesh -> Convert Mesh Type -> All Types to Tetra), there occurs a problem when transforming the mesh into a mesh-file .msh --> Error : face (near node 7558) is attached to more than 2 cells. This face isnīt the only one with the mistake (> 100). How can I solve the problem? 2) When I delete all parts with hexagonal elements, I can transform the mesh into a msh.file but I canīt import it into fluent --> Error: Build Grid: Aborted due to critical error. Did anyone has the same problem or do you know how to solve it? Is there a way to create surfaces from the volume elements and import it into icem cfd as a .igs or .stp that I can create my own mesh? Thank you very much in advance! Best Greetings |
