Hey all. I am very new to ANSA, I have only used Ansys to do meshing before. Thank you in advance for your help!
I wanted to import a 3D CAD file from Soildworks/Ansys SpaceClaim to Ansa for meshing. I exported the geometry as .STEP file, but when imported into ANSA, all the parts show as shells. I have also tried to export as .STP and .IGS, while PIDs are still in shell type. Since I am going to import this mesh into LS-Prepost to do structure analysis, I really want solid parts instead of shells. I was wondering if there is any way to import solid elements and parts from CAD to ANSA? Thank you so much for the patient and time!! |
