Hello,
I would like to know if you have a good suggestion for doing the following in ANSA. I have a mesh of a "bar". The "direction" of such a bar can be defined with a vector pointing at the centers of the normal faces. I have a pair of points, which define another vector and I would like to align such a bar with the vector defined with this pair of points and then "stretch" the bar (or scale the model along a direction). I hypermesh, this is done using: ->Tools->Position and then selecting two points. The first one for the first vector (and a normal coordinate), corresponding to the "bar mesh". THe second one corresponds to the desired position. Then, once the model is in the right position, one simply creates a new coordinate system and scale the nodes using the -->tool-->scale. Done. I have tried to do this in ANSA with the "transform" menu. It, however, requires a couple of points PLUS an angle. Is there a good way to do what I want to do? Cheers, /J. |
