Hey everyone,
I'm trying to create a layered volume mesh around a simple wing and for the most part it is working well, except for some unwanted pyramid elements. I've tried messing with the settings when creating the layers, but I can't seem to avoid creating some pyramid elements in the process. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm using ANSA v15.0.0. Thanks in advance for the help! |

Hi there
You probably have the option "collapse" on which means that ANSA bumps up to some problem (intersection, proximity or top cap quality ) and therefore collapsed locally some prisms into pyramids or tetras. If you de-activate the collapse option and try to grow the layers again, ANSA will probably stop at some point and will create a SET of the shells where it found problem to generate the layers from Hope this helps Vangelis |
