Dear users,
I am trying to develop a contact between a shell element and a solid block in ANSA v15.1.3. It is a surface to surface contact pair. It is NOT a TIE or Flange contact. When I export the ANSA model as .inp file and read through the file i can find that the contact is defined properly. However when i import the file in ABAQUS v6.13-4 and simulate, the analysis works but with no contact being established. Only the interaction properties that i defined are updated (but not the interaction/contact) in ABAQUS Interaction module. I am creating two sets, one for MASTER and one for SLAVE surface. I have tried creating the sets as nodes and also as surface. I have also tried various options like sliding and friction also. But no contact is being recognised in ABAQUS. Am i missing out on anything? Kindly post your valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance. |
