This article examines the potential benefits of using CFD in analyzing cerebral aneurysms. Applying CFD simulations towards analyzing aneurysms aids researchers by allowing them to look inside an artery to view the shear stress and pressure distributions on the aneurysm. CFD combined with running numerical simulations using blood pressure and MRI or CTI scan information may allow researchers to make predictions about possible ruptures.

SC/Tetra allows users to observe the difference in local pressure elevation and wall shear stress under steady-state
flow conditions without needing any advanced knowledge of CFD. SC/Tetra can also run patient specific
simulations, either individually or with batch processing.
