ERCOFTAC Special Interest Group 5 is organizing its next event in Nottingham on September 9th and 10th 2004 on the topic of Urban Scale CFD.
The event will be held over two days, starting at mid-day on Sept. 9th to allow European visitors to reach Nottingham by the road or via Nottingham East Midland Airport or Nottingham Train Station. It will also give us the opportunity to spend an evening together and discuss about our research and professional issues in the area of Environmental CFD.
The programme to date is as follows:
Day 1, Sept. 9th: Arrive from 12:30 (Buffet), Start at 13:30
- Session 1: 13:30-15:10 – Smallest scale ‑ single building (Prof. Ian Castro)
- Session 2: 15:30-17:30 – Intermediate scale ‑ streets/groups of buildings/tunnels/airports (Dr R. Perkins)
Evening Buffet
Day 2, Sept. 10th: Arrive at 9:00, Start at 9:30
- Session 3: 9:30-11:00 – Large scale ‑ cities/forests/ABL
- Session 2: 11:15-12:30 – Experimental Perspectives (Prof. C.J. Baker)
Closure and Buffet: from 12:30
Each main session will start with a lead address (under the lead of Nottingham University Park Campus is very pleasant and should offer beautiful and quiet surroundings to the sessions, and the opportunity to have a good time in these last summer days.
