Materialise NV, world leader in software development for the Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing (RP&M) industry, announces the release of MiniMagics software. MiniMagics, free software for fast STL inspection and compression, is an integral part of the Magics product line, which offers a total and automated solution for RP&M professionals.

Rather than just offering separate products for RP&M professionals, Materialise tends to offer integrated and total solutions as an answer to prevailing needs in the industry. As such, Materialise provides the RP&M industry with free software for fast file inspection and compression – MiniMagics – in order to accommodate RP&M professionals with a tool for easy and efficient project communication with their sales force, customers and people on the shop floor.

Apart from viewing, measuring and analyzing .STL, .magics or .mgx files, MiniMagics also allows to compress .STL files up to factor 20, make annotations and generate print-outs. MiniMagics users can for example load a .STL, make annotations and measurements, and send it to another MiniMagics user for further verification.

MiniMagics is now freely available for download at www.MiniMagics.com.
