Apex, NC (October 21, 2015) – CEI Software, makers of EnSight Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) visualization software recently announced two guest speakers for their Japan User Group Meeting (UGM). Andrew Hobbs, Chief CFD/DEM Engineer for Astec Industries and Dave Bremer, Senior Developer for CEI will both make presentations at the event which will be held in Nakano, a suburb of Tokyo, Japan in November 2015.
Andrew Hobbs has over 14 years of experience working for Astec Industries, a manufacturer of large construction equipment. He has been using EnSight visualization software for much of that time. Andrew’s presentation, “Visualizing Fluid and Particle Data Using Ensight” will cover Astec’s general approach to post-processing, as well as illustrate this process using specific examples. Andrew will present on the three main categories of his approach: comparing multiple cases simultaneously, visualizing coupled CFD and DEM data and creating animations for sales and product operation demonstrations.
Dave Bremer has over 12 years of experience working for CEI software. Dave will be sharing exciting news about the EnSight VR product, which recently improved performance when working with a variety of virtual reality devices, including Caves, Powerwalls and Canon MREAL headsets. He will also discuss the future of EnSight with a preview of EnSight 10.2, scheduled for release in early 2016.
The EnSight UGM–Japan is an opportunity for EnSight users to connect and network with fellow users, the EnSight development team and other industry professionals in the region to learn more about the power of EnSight. Attendees have the opportunity to grow their skills with the software, ask questions about specific issues and discover new and exciting ways to visualize their CFD data. In addition to the two guest speakers, an EnSight user from Japanese company Idemitsu Kosan will give a presentation, ISID will do a hands-on demonstration of Canon MREAL virtual reality as well as their cloud computing service and Yasuyuki Matsuno from CEI Japan will give a talk on benchmarks of Temporal SOS, which is a new way to use the feature SOS found only in EnSight HPC. Temporal SOS gives higher performance to large transient models by leveraging multiple servers.
