The annual traffic statistics for CFD Online has recently been finished for 2007. The statistics can be found at:
http://www.cfd-online.com/Stats/2007/
This year CFD Online has also done some specific statistics on traffic from large CFD vendors. A report can be found at:
http://www.cfd-online.com/About/CFD_vendors_traffic_trends_2000-2007.pdf
A few interesting trends and observations can be made from these statistics. The report contains more details, but in short traffic from both Ansys/CFX and Fluent has fallen significatly in the last year. At the same time traffic from both CD-adapco and adapco US has increased slightly. This is interesting and might indicate that the new CCM+ solver from CD-adapco is growing quickly and is taking some market share from both CFX and Fluent. At the same time it is interesting to note the growth of Exa. Exa is becoming a large CFD vendor, especially in application areas like automotive engineering. The quick growth of ICEM CFD traffic recently is also interesting and is probably related to the Fluent-Ansys merger.
