Press Release

Nika Fluid Solutions Announces Sales Wins

Industry Leading Names Included in List of Customers

Colfax, California (January 27, 2004)--- Nika Fluid Solutions (NikaFS) announced that its EFD.Lab software has been selected by a number of notable companies in the United States and Canada including ATK Missile Systems, Baxter Healthcare, Bell Helicopter, Black and Decker, Capstone Turbine Corporation, Dassault Falcon Jet Corp., Delphi Automotive, Entegris, Hamilton Sundstrand, Johnson Design, NASA Ames, Northrop Grumman and S & S Cycle.

NikaFS attributes its success to the elegance (ease-of-use and functionality) and robustness of the EFD.Lab software it sells and to the company’s dedication to helping its customers implement CFD analysis successfully.

“NikaFS expends a tremendous amount of effort to ensure that its products and services will produce a clearly identified return-on-investment for its customers”, says Mike Harrison, president of NikaFS. “This effort begins with our first demonstration of the software and continues through our customers’ ownership of EFD.Lab. We pride ourselves on the fact that 100% of companies that have purchased EFD.Lab have chosen to renew their annual maintenance agreements.”

Based on the principles of Engineering Fluid Dynamics (EFD), EFD.Lab is a stand-alone fluid flow and heat transfer simulation program, which offers unsurpassed ease-of-use, design and analysis power to the engineering community. As evidenced by the list of NikaFS customers, EFD.Lab has application to a broad range of industries and applications.

Many of the company’s customers have experience with other CFD software products and companies prior to adopting EFD.Lab. "When evaluating and comparing different CFD programs, EFD.Lab produced the correct answer, the first time, very quickly and with little effort,” states Erich Keszler, Engineering Manager at Johnson Design. “This is something we were never able to achieve with another CFD software program even with considerable time and effort."

About EFD.Lab

EFD.Lab is mainly used for the development and optimization of various products such as automotive parts, computer housings, electronic devices, HVAC systems, valves and regulators, medical equipment, environmental control systems, buildings and fire protection systems. EFD.Lab includes a parametric solid modeler as a preprocessor for the creation or importation of geometry, and a powerful postprocessor for easy processing and visualization of results. The preprocessor imports native CAD files from the most important CAD systems and supports numerous standard file formats. The CAD geometry of a design can be directly used without modeling a separate domain of the flow space. This unique feature combined with automatic mesh generation and solver convergence controls allow the engineer to take advantage of fully integrated flow simulation within the design cycle. The initial release of EFD.Lab was April 2002 with the latest upgrade, EFD.Lab 4.0 released in November 2003.
