Cradle scSTREAM Used to Increase Air Conditioning System Efficiency in Japan

Energy conservation and efficiency are major objectives in Japan because substantial energy resources must be imported. Residential and commercial buildings consume about one third of the total energy used in Japan, and energy for air conditioning accounts for nearly half of the energy used in the commercial sector. Because of this, minimizing air conditioning energy consumption is critical.

Nagoya City University, Nagoya, Japan has taken a systems approach to addressing air conditioning optimization. Software Cradle scSTREAM is an important part of the solution methodology.
