MicroCFD released its 3D Virtual Wind Tunnel earlier this month. Here a brief overview with weekly updates:
http://www.microcfd.com/3d.htm
The 3D version imports STL files, a standard CAD format based on surface triangulation, and the meshing process runs fully automated. The user only has to set the flow parameters and the roll, pitch, yaw angles of the model to start the simulation. Typical computation time on quad-core CPUs or CUDA core GPUs is 4 to 8 hours, depending on Mach number, at a resolution of 30 million cells. A 15-minute HD video demonstrates its main features and ease of use:

If the video does not stream into your browser due to limited bandwidth, it can also be downloaded prior to viewing. In that case, please go to the main download page, right-click on the SWF file and save it to your hard drive. When the download is complete, the SWF file can be opened by any browser. Please select F11 for full screen view, as SWF videos do not scale with the browser window, but are much smaller in size than resolution equivalent MPG files.

The 3D Virtual Wind Tunnel comes with a 7-day free trial period while all features are fully enabled. Please let me know if you have any problems with the installation or running of the program, if you decide to give it a try. Unlike the 2D Virtual Wind Tunnel, which comes in two editions, Edu and Pro, there is only one 3D edition currently available, and its academic pricing has not yet been set. - Thank you for your attention!
