Why: With the high expense of compliance for SOx limits in the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR), operators are looking for low-cost methods to get the most from their existing pollution control equipment. This may avoid the significant capital expenditures of new equipment, or may add revenue by allowing the sale of SOx credits.
Flow and thermal distribution is often the key to optimizing Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) equipment. In this webinar, we will discuss some of the basics of scrubber and duct fluid mechanics, mass and heat transfer, as well as methods for assuring uniform flow distribution in ducts and flue gas clean-up equipment.
