November 2013/ -- Cradle is pleased to announce the release of the new Version 11 scSTREAM and Heat Designer. scSTREAM is structured grid Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software for simulations in industries and applications where accurate solutions are less dependent on detailed geometrical representation and where the emphasis is on large, memory efficient models, and fast, stable solutions. Applicable industries include architecture, civil engineering, electronics, and others product design and manufacturing applications where thermal-fluid analysis is critical for success. Heat Designer is a special edition of scSTREAM used for electronics thermal design.

Version 11 includes the following features:

• New ElectronicPartsMaker utility enables simulating electronics with greater detail. Create a model of SOP (Small Outline Package) or QFP (Quad Flat Package) and save it as a library file in the scSTREAM/Heat Designer pre-processor
  
• Cut-cell solver for flow analysis. The cut-cell solver enables simulation of curved objects even in the structured grid computations.
  
• Improved visualization schemes for simulation results. This includes the [Moving arrows] function, which provides easy comprehension of complex three-dimensional flow patterns at a glance.
  

• Linear diffuser model, Surface extrusion modeling, CAE data import, and 3ds file import

• IFC file import and updated CAD data import

• Improved usability of Condition Wizard and motion preview of moving objects

• Enhanced radiation and moving object calculation capabilities

• Improved stability of free surface calculation

• New electrostatic and charged particle calculation capabilities

• Detailed display of analysis conditions in post-processor and improved colorbar functions
