The Middle East Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE-MEC) invites you to speak at the 11th Professional Development Conference and Exhibition, to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from March 15 – 19, 2014. ASSE-MEC also seeks your support to encourage members of your team to submit abstracts for technical papers, presentations and posters. Your participation and support is highly appreciated. The theme of the conference will be:
“Innovative Approaches toward Emerging SHE Challenges”
The conference hosts a large gathering of professionals and industry representatives from the Middle East and around the world, and focuses on the ever-emerging challenges in the field of safety, health and environment (SHE). This event presents to you a great opportunity to connect with safety, health and environment professionals from around the world in one location, and allows for knowledge sharing and networking.
For a detailed list of topics covered in the conference and to submit an abstract, please visit the conference website www.asse-mec.org/2014, or email the chairman of the technical committee at program@asse-mec.org. The deadline for submitting abstracts is April 15, 2013. Please feel free to share this invitation with all your colleagues and contacts who might be interested in this subject. You can direct all enquires to the chairman of the technical committee.
In this conference, we are interested in all topics related to SHE, and below are some examples of these topics. The list below is not inclusive, and other topics are still acceptable and welcomed:
1. Risk Management 2. Growing use of CFD analysis in risk and safety assessments 3. Process Safety 4. Process and plant safety 5. Environment and Health, this includes topics such as: 6. Pollution and hazardous waste 7. Proper ventilation, A/C arrangement, extreme temperatures at work place 8. CFD applications in Environmental issues
