CD-adapco collaborates with Dassault Systèmes’ SIMULIA to deliver state-of-the-art multiphysics technology

New York and London, February 15, 2007 - CD-adapco, a world leader in Full-Spectrum flow, thermal, and stress simulation solutions, announces the availability of a powerful coupled-analysis capability for fluid-structure interaction (FSI) utilizing STAR-CD, their technology-leading Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software, and ABAQUS, from the SIMULIA brand of Dassault Systèmes (DS) (Nasdaq: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), a world leader in 3D and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions.

This new FSI solution builds on the strategy of CD-adapco to partner with best-in-class technology providers, such as SIMULIA, to deliver a broad range of multiphysics simulation solutions. The bi-directional coupling leverages a strong partnership with Dassault Systèmes and the independent, open solution for the coupling—MpCCI software from Fraunhofer SCAI—to enable STAR-CD and ABAQUS to work together to solve a wide range of important FSI problems.
