London, December 5, 2006. Last week, at the awards ceremony for the World Motorsport Symposium, CD-adapco were nominated for the prestigious "Most Innovative Product of the Year Award", in recognition of the impact made by their revolutionary new Computational Fluid Dynamics product STAR-CCM+.
CD-adapco is easily the most successful CFD supplier in Formula 1. Of the points awarded during the 2006 season, incredibly almost 70% were awarded to teams that use STAR-CD or STAR-CCM+ for aerodynamic or engine simulation. CD-adapco have been suppliers of advanced CAE software to the Renault F1 Team since its inception in 2001.
