Description:
Over the two days, attendees will be involved in an advanced
course summarized as:
- Advanced OpenFOAM features
- Programming sessions
- Half day clinic
FIRST DAY:
- Overview of OpenFOAM structure
- Five basic classes in detail: Space and Time Computational
Mesh Field Variable Matrix and Linear System
Discretisation Method
- Dynamic mesh features in OpenFOAM: automatic
mesh motion and topological changes; dynamic mesh
classes.
- Theory, implementation and use of General Grid Interface
(GGI) features in turbomachinery simulations.
Hands-on session: GGI in practice
- Programming in OpenFOAM: implementation of function
objects; a new boundary condition; adding physical
model to run-time selection tables
SECOND DAY CLINIC:
The attendees are asked to bring their day-today
problems on the laptops.
This session will be hands-on. The tutor will be
