Consolidation in the CFD sector.
Flomerics' board of directors recently announced that they have received a bid on the company. The press-release does not state who the bidder is, but rumours are that a competitor, possibly Fluent, might be interested. Flomerics' main product, Flotherm, is the leading electronics cooling CFD package on the market and competes with offerings like IcePak from Fluent and ESC from Maya HTT.
Shares in Flomerics jumped more than 30%, from 48p to 65p on the news. However, this follows after a two-year decline in Flomerics' share price, from over 150p in 2000. This is a good time to to shop for cheap CFD companies.
