Stamford, CT, For Immediate Release – Collaborative Product Development Associates (CPDA), a provider of critical analyses for PLM decisions is pleased to announce that Russ Daniels, VP & CTO, Software and Adaptive Enterprise, Office of Strategy and Technology, Hewlett-Packard, will join Ford Motor Company's Robert Trecapelli, General Motor's John L. Givens, Jr., Honeywell Aerospace's George Race, Procter & Gamble's Tom Lange, and the University of Michigan's Dr. Jeffrey K. Liker as a keynote speaker at PLM Road Map 2006. The conference will take place on September 27 and 28 at The Dearborn Inn, Dearborn, Michigan.

IT costs are unacceptably high and IT performance is unacceptably low. Most IT services require custom design and build processes before they can be activated, with higher costs and project risks. Russ Daniels presentation, Design Principles for the IT Supply Chain, will consider three essential design rules that are defined in the HP Adaptive Enterprise architecture -- virtualization, service oriented architecture (SOA), and model-based automation. These design rules allow the composition of services that address key use cases without requiring complex workflow or orchestration support, isolate policy statements providing appropriate separation of concern, and support a rich range of use cases by plugging in a variety of service endpoints.

Now in its 13th year, PLM Road Map™ 2006 is a strategic conference focused on the critical tradeoffs that shape product development. PLM Road Map™ 2006 offers attendees the opportunity to explore first hand the progress, opportunities, and roadblocks leading-edge end users are confronting.
