Fluent Announces Remote Simulation Facility

The Fluent Remote Simulation Facility lets users exploit supercomputer capacity using "pay as you go" methods through a highly secure Internet portal.

The Fluent RSF is specifically designed to handle highly parallel simulations, often characterized by large volumes of sensitive customer data, over the Internet. It is optimized for large-scale simulations and/or the concurrent execution of many simulations, such as those found in sensitivity analysis or optimization. The facility uses state-of-the-art security and systems infrastructure technology from providers including Cisco, Sun, SGI, and Hewlett Packard. This service is ideal for Fluent CFD users who require occasional "surge" capacity for time-critical simulations, or periodic simulations of large models. Pricing and Availability

The Fluent RSF is available now to existing Fluent license holders on a worldwide basis. Users are charged for solve time only. Other functions such as file transfer, report generation, and interactive "online" time are not metered. Subscriptions range from a minimum of 30 CPU-hrs to complete dedicated systems. Prices are quoted on a per CPU-hr basis and can be as low as $10/CPU-hr in volume.
