After months of collaboration, PACE (Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering Education) and CD-adapco have finalized an agreement for CD-adapco to join the ranks of the select PACE Contributors.
Founded in 1999 as a partnership between GM, Siemens PLM Software, HP, Autodesk and Sun/Oracle, PACE currently supports 53 leading academic institutions in 12 countries around the world through the contribution of computer-based engineering tools. Its goal is to provide students in mechanical design, engineering, analysis and manufacturing the practical skills they need for their professional careers.
“Having strong ties with Universities has been very important to CD-adapco,” said Stephen McIlwain, Director, Engineering Customer Support. “CD-adapco’s involvement with the PACE Program demonstrates the drive we have to further engineering education and help support students all over the globe.” For years, CD-adapco has been a strong supporter of the academic community and has developed a competitive University Program to enhance the education of students internationally.
CD-adapco will offer its Academic Teaching Package to each PACE Institute globally beginning in October 2010. The Package includes licenses of CD-adapco's fluid dynamics code, STAR-CCM+; STAR-Tutor Interactive Sessions; Academic Teaching Modules; a 3-Day Training Session; Support and access to INSET (networking website).
