CD-adapco invites you to attend a series of free webinars on CAD-embedded flow and thermal simulation: the STAR-CAD Series. Each webinar will be tailored to a different CAD or PLM system: Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, Unigraphics NX and CATIA V5.
CAD-embedded CFD enables Design Engineers to solve flow and thermal problems within the environment of their CAD package. This delivers a number of advantages over the traditional CFD process. The webinars will detail:
Ø How CAD-embedded CFD can be used within the design process
Ø How the STAR-CAD Series can improve product performance and reduce time to market
Ø Examples of how the STAR-CAD Series are being used in industry
Ø The unique benefits of the STAR-CAD series, such as polyhedral mesh technology
Attendees will be able to judge the STAR-CAD Series for themselves with a live demonstration.
By working within the CAD package, Design Engineers are not required to learn a specialist simulation tool, and problems caused by translating geometry from CAD to CFD pre-processor are removed. Also, the flow model is directly associated with the CAD part or assembly, enabling CFD with the full power of parametric CAD. This makes these solutions ideal for running quick “what-if” design evaluations. “With the STAR-CAD Series, CD-adapco is in the unique position of being the only solution provider to deliver truly embedded solutions in the four major CAD and PLM systems,” says Jean-Claude Ercolanelli, CD-adapco’s Product Manager for the STAR-CAD Series. “This enables engineers who are not CAE specialists, to gain detailed insight to significantly improve product performance, and reduce time to market.”
