The CD-adapco Group is offering a software training course for engineers and researchers interested in the following areas of turbomachinery:
- High-cycle Fatigue
- Multi-stage Flow Influences
- Flutter
- Forced Response
- Thermal Lifing
CD-adapco software, including STAR-CD, es-turbo and es-fsi is used to illustrate the analysis of several multidisciplinary turbomachinery problems, including:
- Steady-state multiple refererence frames analysis of one or more stages
- Transient moving mesh analysis of one or more stages
- Conjugate heat transfer in blades
- Film and/or internal blade cooling coupled to external aerodynamics
- Fluid-structure interaction, including calculation of blade stresses
The course is being offered on September 4-6, 2002 in adapco's Plymouth, MI office. No prior knowledge of es-turbo or es-fsi is required. If you are interested in attending or obtaining more information then please contact Kevin Jones on 425-957-7827 x101 or email
