Over the last few months the number of open CFD positions advertised in the CFD Jobs Database here at CFD Online has increased dramatically. There are currently more than 220 open CFD positions advertised in the CFD Jobs Database. Of these 120 are jobs in industry and 100 are jobs in academia (PhD positions, Post Doc positions, Professorships, ...). The number of job-ads have even risen above the old records from before the IT crash back in 2000.

This is the strongest up-turn in the CFD job-market that has ever occur, or at least that has occured over the 11 years that CFD Online has been servicing the online CFD community. Just yesterday 8 new job-ads were posted in the CFD Jobs Database. Reports from employers also confirm that they are having more and more difficult to find qualified candidates.

This is a good time to be a CFD engineer. Last time we saw this kind of up-turn it was soon followed by the IT crash and a very poor employment citation which lasted for several years. So enjoy it while it lasts!
