February 16, 2006, London and New York: CD-adapco, the leading provider of PLM enabled flow-simulation software, is proud to announce a presence at the forthcoming Daratech Summit, February 20-22, 2006 in Cambridge, MA. Focused on achieving excellence in design and manufacturing, the Daratech Summit has for 20 years, been the place where users and industry insiders have met to network and share their vision, philosophy, concepts, best practices and down to earth real life cases.

The strong emergence of CAE within PLM allows CD-adapco to confidently demonstrate the benefits of flow and thermal simulation deployed in the design stage of the product lifecycle. Attending the Daratech Summit is one of the ways in which CD-adapco can keep a finger on the pulse of the PLM world.

Daratech recently announced that approximately 25% of spending in the PLM arena is CAE related. As the leading independent CFD company, CD-adapco is uniquely positioned among CAE companies to offer PLM-embedded flow and thermal simulation technology across a wide range of PLM environments. Through its STAR-CAD Series and STAR-CAD Gateways range of products, CD-adapco is the only company to offer full-spectrum flow insight to all levels of the design community.

In addition to hosting an exhibit in the Rogers room, CD-adapco will be sponsoring lunch on day one and Dr Dennis Nagy will be presenting during Session 1P1 on VPD and managing CAE Processes and Data for integration into mainstream PLM.

CD-adapco is a global provider of advanced engineering solutions for simulating fluid flow, heat transfer and stress, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software, CAD-embedded CFD options, CFD/FEA consulting services and training.
